A dreaded phone call

You know the saying, No news mean good news...

Well, when my cell phone rang in the afternoon and my caller-display showed Ryan's school, I had a bad feeling coming. I don't usually expected the school to call me so I was already guessing something happened to Ryan in school. And his teacher sounded particularly calm instead of the cheerful tone I had heard from previous calls.

True enough, his teacher told me how Ryan was just doing his stuffs and he rested his elbow on the table but somehow slipped and fell down and he bit his tongue as a result. My heart skipped!! I dreaded this coming and I dreaded feeling anxious and scared and worried about Ryan again. I have enough of such experience when Ryan cut his forehead and little finger. My worrying goes into overdrive again!

Good thing is, his teacher was quick to reassure me that Ryan is fine now and playing and doing his stuffs as normal. She told me that he did cried out loud in pain and had little bleeding but doesn't require any medical attention. He's probably going to develop a big ucler soon and would require more of our TLC instead and of course, more fluid. Poor thing! *sigh*

I checked his tongue immediately when he returned from school and is relieved that his tongue is in one piece. He's in his cheerful self which is a good sign to me.

Anyway this incident is not what we wanted especially since we are flying to Melbourne tomorrow. It's nearly an 8-hrs flight which is ok for me but I'm not sure if he can tolerate it. And if his tongue makes him uncomfortable, he's probably going to be cranky and fuss alot on the plane.

Our flight to Melbourne is a midnight flight so I hope Ryan can sleep through most of it and not make any fuss.

Alright, end of the horrible news....a quick update.

I have uploaded my HK photos but have yet to post about the trip. We've also gone to Chinatown to soak up the CNY atmosphere. Did some last minute spring cleaning on CNY eve. I initially planned not to do it but since hubby is helping we decided to clean up the house. I had a few rounds of mahjong sessions with my family this year too and I had fun. I think these mahjong sessions are going to be a CNY tradition.

Now, I have to finish packing our luggages. It's a 2-months trip which is not long but not short too, so I checking our stuffs more thorough to make sure we don't forget any important stuffs. I'm not bringing my laptop to Melbourne so I don't know if I'll update although there's a computer provided in our rented apartment.

So, I'll update when I update.

Btw, a Happy 牛 Year to you! :)
